Agricultural, rural, tourism and maritime fishing development: Akhannouch and Nadia Fettah Alaoui launch and visit projects in Souss Massa

The Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mr Aziz Akhannouch and the Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, Air Transport and Social Economy, Ms Nadia Fettah Alaoui , on Friday launched and visited agricultural, rural, tourist and sea fishing development projects in the province of Tiznit and the prefecture of Agadir.

Thus, the territorial communes of Arbaa Esahel, Rassmouka and Tarssouat (province of Tiznit), have seen the inauguration of rural roads. It is 7 km at the level of the territorial commune of Arbaa Esahel, 20 km connecting the Youssef Ben Tachefine dam to the Douar Laayoune Ouassa (R 104) at the level of the territorial commune of Rasmouka and 5.57 km at the level of the territorial commune de Tarsouat, connecting the Douar Tiouidit to the RP 107. All of these tracks should serve a total of 18 douars and benefit nearly 3000 beneficiaries.

At the level of the territorial commune Had Reggada, the kickoff was given for the planting of the caper tree at the level of the arganicultural perimeter “Santil” on an area of ​​230 ha, interposed with the argan tree and the plants. aromatic and medicinal. For a total investment of 7.28 Mdhs, this project will benefit 53 beneficiaries. The argan farming project at the commune level covers 3340 ha.

At the level of the Arbaa Esahel territorial municipality, the first plantations of the “Ait Oujjant” arganicultural perimeter in orchards were launched using new varieties developed by the National Institute for Agronomic Research (INRA), on a area of ​​140 ha with a density of 200 plants / ha. With a total investment of MAD 3.48 million, this project will benefit 56 beneficiaries.

It should be noted that this work is part of the global arganicultural development program launched by HM King Mohammed VI in February 2020, involving the planting of 10,000 ha by 2022.

As part of the development of the carob tree in the area, the planting of 50 ha of carob trees was launched at the same site for the benefit of 34 beneficiaries for a total investment of 3.68 Mdhs.

At the level of the Rassmouka territorial commune, the project visited involves the plantation of olive trees in the Ait Ighil perimeter over an area of ​​50 ha. With an investment of MAD 3.46 million, this project will improve the income of beneficiaries and contribute to the fight against erosion. It will benefit 70 beneficiaries organized within the framework of the Tiwizi Association.

Finally, the territorial commune of Ait Ouafka saw the launch of an almond plantation “Amalou ouserg” on an area of ​​50 ha for the benefit of 30 beneficiary farmers. For a total investment of 4.17 Mdhs, this project aims to improve the income of the local population, the development of almond cultivation, soil conservation and protection against erosion and silting up in this locality. .

At the level of the Territorial Municipality of Reggada, Mr. Akhannouch presided over the launch of the construction and equipment works of a unit for the promotion of local products. At a total cost of 0.77 Mdhs, the unit is installed on an area of ​​176.9 m². It will benefit 10 co-operatives for the promotion of couscous, oils and Amlou.

At the level of the municipality of Taghazout, a partnership agreement for the financing and implementation of the development project of the Taghazout corniche has been concluded between the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, the Ministry of the Economy, Finance and Administrative Reform, the Ministry of Equipment, Transport and Logistics, the Ministry of National Land Use Planning, Town Planning, Housing and City Policy, the Wilaya of the Souss-Massa region, the council of the Souss-Massa region, the municipality of Taghazout, the Chamber of Maritime Fisheries of the Mediterranean and the Société de Développement Régional du Tourisme de Souss-Massa.

At a total cost of 36 Mdhs, this project includes the development of a cornice, a landing point for artisanal fishermen, the development of spaces dedicated to games and leisure and green spaces.

An agreement was also signed relating to the development of Anchour point. It is about a tourist development in the north of Taghazout, within the framework of the dynamics of promotion of the tourist investment in the region.

On an area of ​​56 ha, at a cost of 56 MDhs, this project should create nearly 200 direct jobs and as many indirect jobs.

The signatories of this agreement are the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Air Transport, and Social Economy, the Wilaya of the Souss-Massa Region, the Souss-Massa Region, the Moroccan Society for Tourism Engineering (SMIT), the Taghazout Municipal Council, the Souss-Massa Regional Investment Center and the Regional Tourism Development Company from Souss-Massa.

At the level of the territorial commune of Aglou – Province of Tiznit, the delegation visited the project for the rehabilitation and extension of the Aglou cornice over 200 ml towards the lagoon and the development and enhancement of the “Tamda – Aglou” lagoon and its environment.

Another agreement concerned at Tiznit, the launch of the construction of a potters complex on a total area of ​​14,122 m2 including 2,589 m2 built, for a total cost of 15 MDhs.

Supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Air Transport, and Social Economy, the Souss-Massa Regional Council, the Municipal Council and the Provincial Council of Tiznit, this complex has two production and sales centers as well as a cooking area, an administration and a tourist center.

The two ministers were accompanied by the Wali of the Souss-Massa region, the President of the region, the Governor of Tiznit province and a large delegation of officials from the two ministries.
